The 2014 Gingerbread Firehouse Contest at Aurora Regional Fire Museum was held on November 29 in downtown Aurora. A team of judges voted on the winners, and executive director Deborah Davis and curator David Lewis announced the winners at the end of the open house.
Winners included Susan Palumbo’s firehouse in the adult division and Stella Jansons, Julia Knigge, and Eleanor Rogowski’s group effort for Best Use of Candy.
The gingerbread firehouses will be on display through December 19.
Visit the Aurora Regional Fire Museum from 1 to 4 Thursday through Saturday at 53 N. Broadway. Admission is free, donations are accepted.
