This year’s Alley Art Festival poster is generously donated by local artist Chris Hodge. Hodge, of North Aurora, works out of Water Street Studios in Batavia. The artist and art teacher created the poster this spring drawing inspiration from old Aurora posters and stamps. The poster, with an homage to art deco style, features an updated Goddess of the Dawn with a “City of Lights” theme to celebrate Aurora’s 175th anniversary. The poster will be available for sale at the Alley Art Festival from noon to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 25.
