SciTech Hands on Museum in downtown Aurora just received a grant from the Grand Victoria Riverboat Fund for $48,763 to help the museum recreate The World of Wonder (WOW).
Located in the basement at SciTech, WOW includes a handcrafted “spaceship” with controls, a hallway of planets, a papier-mâché moon, and more.
WOW is also SciTech’s newest outreach program for Kane County. SciTech is purchasing a portable planetarium, the Digital STARLAB(r) which can be brought into schools, youth groups, scout meetings, etc. to teach children about the amazing world of astronomy.
