AURORA – When I wrote my dream list of bands that I would book (if I could) at the new RiverEdge Park just north of downtown Aurora, I had no idea that one of the bands was already signed up to play the outdoor venue. Fortunately, Chris Bauler, who books fantastic local gigs for Two Brothers Roundhouse, is also in charge of booking three dates at the new park this summer for the brewery. Bauler knows music; he’s not only a musician with a hot local band (He plays guitar and cello with Todd Kessler and The New Folk), but he keeps his finger on the pulse of great local music in the Chicago region.
Bauler had his own dream list and tackled it pretty well. On July 20, The Tragically Hip – a brilliant rock band out of Canada – will take the stage at RiverEdge Park thanks to Bauler’s hard work and his dedication to ardent local music fans. It’s not that Bauler has something to prove, but rather that he knows what is possible.
Buy tickets to see The Tragically Hip on July 20 at 6 p.m. at the Paramount Box Office at 23 E. Galena Blvd. Tickets are also available with a surcharge at the RiverEdge website HERE.
Enjoy great music right here in Aurora. It’s a dream come true.
If you haven’t seen the HIp in concert, they are like the REM of the north, except that they bring a lot more energy to the show… they are fantastic live. i’m going to Ontario the following week to see them again.
